Join GPCo president and author Rudy Garbely for a special presentation on the railroads of the Lehigh Valley region at the National Museum of Industrial History in Bethlehem, PA. The presentation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a book signing at 2:00 PM. Garbely will also be bringing some special “show and tell” artifacts that help to tell the rich story of the Lehigh Valley’s railroading history. Admission to the presentation and book signing is free with your museum admission.
A 2012 graduate of Moravian College's history program, Garbely is a former intern at both the National Museum of Industrial History and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. He spent six years working for the Morristown & Erie Railway in marketing and operations, later working at the Atlas Model Railroad Company before moving to Hawk Drilling. He is currently on the board of directors for the Tri-State Railway Historical Society, The Conrail Historical Society, and New England Steam Corporation. Garbely founded The Garbely Publishing Company in December of 2012, and is an author of four railroad history books.
All four of Garbely’s books will be available for purchase and signing. Additional books from The Garbely Publishing Company will also be available.
